Elevate Your Marine Environment with MP Lighting

By MP Lighting on January 8, 2026

For more than three decades, MP Lighting has been recognized for manufacturing architectural-grade luminaires defined by precision engineering, contemporary design, and long-last durability. As coastal development, luxury yachting, and waterfront infrastructure continue to expand globally, the demand for reliable marine-rated lighting has grown dramatically. In response, MP Lighting has launched the Marine Series—a complete collection of luminaires engineered specifically for boats, marinas, docks, waterfront homes, and offshore environments.

Purpose-Built Luminaires for Coastal, Offshore, and Marine Environments

Saltwater, UV exposure, temperature fluctuations, impact forces, and constant movement are all factors that accelerate wear in marine environments. Traditional architectural or landscape fixtures often fall short, making material integrity and engineering essential.

The Marine Series addresses these challenges with:

    • Marine-Grade Stainless Steel & aluminum Components — Known for its resistance to corrosion, pitting, and saltwater exposure, machined stainless steel (316) and machined aluminum form the core of many Marine Series products, ensuring long-term structural stability and visual consistency.
    • IP68 Rating — From in-grade luminaires to underwater fixtures, IP68 protection ensures each unit can withstand submersion and moisture infiltration, offering peace of mind in coastal, dockside, and submerged applications.

These qualities make the Marine Series not just another extension of MP Lighting’s portfolio, but a purpose-engineered system tailored for the marine industry’s premium standards.

Designed for Boats, Yachts, Cruise Ships and Waterfront Structures

The Marine Series includes categories developed to address every point of illumination onboard or along marine infrastructure. Below is an overview of the collection’s highlights.

BOAT LIGHTS: Precision Lighting for Cabins, Pathways, Storage Areas & On-Deck Accents

    1) In-Grade Boat Lights (M07, M338, M342) – IP68

These compact in-grade luminaires deliver discreet yet powerful illumination for decks, platforms, steps, and pathways. With extremely low profiles and IP68 waterproofing, they provide safe navigation and architectural detail in small or confined areas.

    • M07: Ultra-compact, stainless steel, 0.2W LED suitable for subtle step or accent lighting.
    • M338: Available in aluminum or stainless steel with spring-clip installation.
    • M342: Higher output option (1W or 2W) with multiple beam angles and extensive louver accessories.

Ideal for: yacht steps, deck perimeters, dock entries, gangways, and illuminated signage.

    2) Cabinet & Interior Boat Lights (M51–M550 Series) – IP40

Designed for dry-location cabin environments, these luminaires offer highly customizable beam angles, shrouds, and finishes—perfect for creating refined, low-glare lighting within vessel interiors.

    • M51 / M52: Compact, directional fixtures with up to 2W output and multiple shroud options.
    • M67: Glass-finish options for sleek interior styling.
    • M500-M550 Series: Recessed luminaires with anodized or bronze powder-coated finishes that complement premium cabin materials.

These fixtures support seamless integration into cabinetry, galleys, sleeping quarters, wine storage, and lounge areas—places where consistency and a quiet design presence matter.

    3) M182 Wine Rack System – IP40

For luxury vessels, the M182 wine rack lighting system adds architectural-grade elegance to onboard wine displays. Custom lengths, multiple shroud options, and clean mounting configurations make it a standout feature in high-end yacht interiors.

BUILDING LIGHTS: Engineered for Marinas, Docks, Piers & Coastal Architecture

    1) In-Grade Building Lights (M340, M348) – IP68
Designed for drive-over durability (up to 9,700-lbs / 4,400-kg), these luminaires anchor waterfront landscapes with reliability and visual finesse.

    • Precision optics (beam angles from 7° elliptical to 120° wide flood)
    • Optional anti-slip lenses
    • 316 stainless-steel housings
    • Multiple dimming protocols

These versatile in-grade fixtures are ideal for lighting marina walkways, dock edges, public waterfronts, and architectural facades.

    2) Wall-Mount and Spotlight Options for Coastal Architecture (M47, M730) – IP66

For docks, marinas, and waterfront residences, these fixtures provide robust, weatherproof illumination.

    • M47 Wall-Mount: A versatile, architectural-grade wall luminaire available in stainless steel or marine-grade aluminum, suitable for wayfinding and perimeter lighting.
    • M730 Spotlight: A compact, adjustable spotlight available with B7 tree-strap mounting—ideal for illuminating pathways, signage, and landscape features while blending seamlessly into natural surroundings.

Both options are IP66+ rated and compatible with advanced dimming and control systems.

    3) Safety Lighting (M960) – IP68

With a 9,700-lb drive-over rating and reflective marker options, the M960 is tailored for high-traffic coastal applications where visibility and durability are essential—such as industrial ports, ferry terminals, or marina loading zones.

Designed with Marine Professionals in Mind

The Marine Series reflects MP Lighting’s long-standing design philosophy: architectural quality, technical performance, and aesthetic restraint. Every fixture is intentionally compact, customizable, and built from durable materials to support both functional and decorative lighting needs onboard or onshore.

Marine environments demand products that last. Frequent replacement is costly, unsafe, and environmentally damaging. By using durable metals, high-quality LEDs, and replaceable components, the Marine Series emphasizes:

    • Long product lifespan (~ 50,000 hours)
    • High-CRI, color-consistent illumination
    • Reduced waste and maintenance
    • Sustainable materials and finishes

These attributes allow lighting professionals to meet environmental standards while providing an unparalleled experience.
